It's nice running alone

It's nice running alone? or is he? People I have talked to are hoping for some to come out of no where to challenge the incumbant and the money machine. Mitzelfelt has lost support in the Barstow area with his support of Nursery Products LLC sludge facility near Hinkley, Ca.
George Watson, Staff Writer It's early and he doesn't have any competition yet, but San Bernardino County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt is off to a blazing start for his re-election bid. Mitzelfelt has raised more than $464,000. He has more than $425,000 in available cash for the June 2008 election. The 1st District supervisor, who represents the High Desert, was appointed to fill the seat when Bill Postmus won election to be the county assessor. Both men took over their new roles in January. "I would like to thank all of those who have shown confidence in me and in the job I'm doing as supervisor," Mitzelfelt said in a prepared release. "I am confident I will have the campaign resources to effectively communicate to the voters about my accomplishments, plans and goals for the 1st District." No one has announced an intention to run against Mitzelfelt yet.
