Paul Chavez speaks with pride as he continues his father's legacy

Today I traveled to the National Chavez Center, located in the small town of Keene, Ca. It was a special day to listen to Paul F. Chavez, son of Cesar Chavez. He spoke passionately of his fathers mission to unite and organize farm workers throughout the United States, Cesar Chavez legacy continues through various organizations such as the Cesar Chavez Foundation , National Chavez Center. Paul is the President of National Farm Workers Service Center, Inc. Founded in 1966 by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta with encouragement from Senator Robert F. Kennedy and visionary labor leader Walter Reuther, National Farm Workers Service Center Inc. provides working families with services that enrich their lives and serve to meet crucial community needs such as affordable housing and educational radio. If you ever get a chance, please take a chance to visit the Chavez Center, it is about a 90 mile trip, but well worth it. I enjoyed the Cesar Chavez Museum and memorial garden. Staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. Joe
